No declaration I've ever made withstands a scrutiny of comparison against the sculpture it's about; and little that I claim about myself can be true for long. Words lack. I am unable to adequately explain how it is that one sculpture appears better than another. Neither can I foretell how great or poor the next one might be. I nevertheless aspire, beholden by the greatest examples of art I've seen, to the creation of my own good work – a life’s work that will only last because it still looks too good to toss out.
